Frankl: Whether he or she has a good reason to live, a man will withstand even the most extreme circumstances. What Frankl experienced from being in the camp is encapsulated in the book title. Throughout the novel, Frankl explains three versions of the essence of life: first, the effort to achieve; second, the purpose given by love; third, the human spirit’s bravery and dignity in the face of suffering.
